The Eleven Media story so far.
The Eleven Media boys first crossed paths in 2008 when Blaz contacted Aaron to convert one of his designs into a functional website. At the time Blaz was a freelance Graphic Designer and Aaron was a freelance Web Designer / Developer. After successfully collaborating on a few projects the boys found they had complementary skills & discussed teaming up to start a design studio.
Hundreds of business names were brainstormed over coffee and eventually the boys settled on ‘Eleven Media’. The Eleven boys had three clients before moving into their first Berwick studio (Clyde Rd) in December 2008. Blaz brought in his iMac, Aaron brought in his PC and they shared a painfully slow and temperamental 3g internet connection.
The Eleven Media logo / branding was developed and business cards were sent to print just in time for Christmas. Over the 2008 Christmas break the boys developed the first Eleven Media website, which was launched in January 2009. Within the first 7 days of launch the site was featured in over a dozen web design galleries & seen by over 1,700 unique visitors.
Some of the highlights of 2009 for the Eleven Media team would include:
- Guest Speaking to Small Business owners at the City of Casey about web design & development
- The purchase Liquid Salt Multimedia – a small Melbourne based web site design & web hosting business.
- Streaming the Eleven business processes with online invoicing and online project management
- Guest Speaking to Small Business owners in Cardinia about Online Marketing & Web Design
- Attending Semi Permanent in Melbourne and multiple quality Design Victoria events
- Falling in love with WordPress as a content management system
- Blaz converting Aaron into an Apple fan so Eleven is now an all Apple studio
At the start of 2010 the Eleven Media team decided to no longer offer graphic design services and instead focus on high quality web design, custom WordPress themes and online marketing.
In February 2010 the Eleven Boys jumped at the chance to move into a much bigger and brighter studio in Blackburne square in Berwick. Eleven Media launched their new website in April 2010 with a focus on blogging & showcasing their up to date website design portfolio !
